Visiting Capcom

Game Informer’s Ben Hanson and Jeff Cork present a lighthearted travelogue showing their trip to Capcom’s headquarters in Osaka, Japan to learn all about Monster Hunter World.

What new features has Capcom added to the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion?

Capcom, the well-known Japanese video game developer, recently gave enthusiasts of their game series, Monster Hunter, a rare opportunity to take a sneak peek into their latest (and possibly biggest) expansion of the game yet, the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. As a fan of the game series, I jumped at the opportunity to visit their office in Osaka, Japan, and witness the behind-the-scenes action of what it took to create such a gaming masterpiece.

Upon arriving at the Capcom office, I was greeted with a warmth that only a fan could appreciate. The staff members were lively, enthusiastic, and handed me an entry badge that read “Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Preview Event.” It was a surreal moment, and I could not contain my excitement. Upon entering the main hall, I was taken aback by the eerily realistic sculptures of some of the game’s most significant and fearsome monsters.

After being taken to the presentation room, the lead developers started detailing the new features and changes made in the game’s Iceborne expansion. They revealed that the game would incorporate new monsters, more extensive territories, and a new storyline. As I had been anxiously waiting for the release of the expansion, hearing the developers explain in detail the efforts that went into the making of the game gave me the ultimate fan experience.

An hour after the presentation began, I was then given access to a closed demo event of the game. Participating gamers were seated in front of square monitors that had been set up for playing the game, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. As I started playing, I couldn’t help but appreciate the efforts they invested in the game. The graphics were incredible, and the new features in the game provided a fascinating challenge to players. From the moment we were handed the controller, time flew by as we got lost in the hunt for the mighty beasts in the new icy continent of Hoarfrost Reach.

Visiting Capcom for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne was a memorable experience. The passion and dedication shown in making the game were evident, and it solidified my fan status of the game series. The game is set to be released, and I can’t wait to continue the adventure of being a Monster Hunter.
